Compatriots of the Army of Trans-Mississippi,
Greetings from the Confederate Territory of Arizona. I am hopeful that all of you had a happy Christmas and are enjoying the beginning of the New Year. In this new year, many challenges face our beloved organization as we prepare to uphold the heritage left us by our ancestors. Our Charge becomes even more important as we approach the end of the Sesquicentennial.
I am, after consultation with Compatriots throughout the Army of Trans-Mississippi, family and friends, placing my "kepi" in the ring in order to serve as the Executive Council for the Army of Trans-Mississippi for the 2014-2016 term. I hold nothing but admiration for those many fine Compatriots who have led this Army to its successes over the years and I wish to add my contributions to ensuring that the ATM continues to hold the important and influential position within our Confederation that you, the members of the Divisions and Camps comprising the ATM have achieved. I believe my experience as a 25 year SCV member, a Camp and Division Adjutant and a Division Commander will allow me help us maintain and even surpass the achievements of past years.
I humbly ask for your support and your vote in Charleston at the 119th Annual Sons of Confederate Veterans Reunion & Convention. Let me carry your colors!
