From Our President
December 2012
Dear Civil War Preservationist,
Dear Civil War Preservationist,
As
we approach the closing of 2012, I am hopeful that you will consider
supporting our new campaign to save 1,424 acres at 5 great Civil War
battlefields. The cost? Well, this highly developable land retails for
more than $7.6m, but a set of generous matching grants means that we
can save all of this historic land for only $69,932 - that's a $109 to
$1 match for your donation. How about that!?
I
do hope that you'll have the chance to click on our 2012 Year in Review
video link below. Like me I hope you will be proud of all that we've
accomplished this year. With your help we've saved some remarkable
tracts of battlefield ground. Your support of this organization
continues to astound me. Thank you.
- Jim Lighthizer, Civil War Trust President
