2012 CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY

The Captain William T. Anderson Camp #1743, Sons of Confederate Veterans will hold this years annual Confederate Memorial Day Service in Howard County . Services will be at the Confederate Monument in the Fayette City Cemetery on Saturday April 28, 2012 beginning at 3:00 pm. A reading of the known names of Howard County men who died during the war for Southern Independence will be read, followed by a Memorial Wreath lying at the monument. All families, friends, and interested members of the public are invited to attend. The Camp rotates its services yearly between Chariton , Howard & Randolph counties. The names will be offered to the local newspapers for publication and historical research.
