Gentlemen of the Missouri Division,
What a wonderful evening was had last night at our annual Lee/Jackson Dinner. A great time of Confederate fellowship and comraderie to be sure. Our speaker was enlightening and attendance was good, despite the fact that we are in the middle of January. Special thanks to Larry Yeatman and Dale Wiseman for their tireless efforts. I would like to simply take this opportunity to express what I see as a genuine feeling of togetherness growing within the Missouri Division. And, if given the opportunity to serve as your next Division Commander, I truly believe that we are already beginning to get into place, more pieces and more people that will continue to move this Division in a forward direction, all the while defending the honor and memory of our Confederate ancestors which we so dearly cherish.
For those of you who were in attendance last night, I truly enjoyed seeing you all again. For those of you who could not make it, please be making plans to attend the 2012 Missouri Division Reunion, to be held in late March, again at the Lake of the Ozarks. The Col. Coffee Camp is working very hard to put on a great Reunion, and the evidence is clear, gathering together periodically to share in our common Confederate heritage is truly good for the soul.
Please forward this message to any members of your camp you would like, and please encourage them to make plans for future events.
Confederate Regards,
Darrell Maples
